Scarlett

In case anyone was wondering. That was my sister Leena doing all the updates last night so Rick could concentrate on Scarlett and I.

After Scarlett was born, they rushed her off to nic-u (spelled?) because I went from 4 cm to 10 in 2 hours and that didn't giver her enough "transition" time, causing fluid in the lungs. However, she quickly faught it and was back in the nursery within the hour. Longest hour of my life though! She is now breastfeeding like a little champ and let Rick and I get 2 hours of sleep last night.

Getting Stronger...

contractions getting stronger and almost completely effaced!!! about 4 minutes apart! stay tuned for more!

At the hospital

Just got hooked up to the IV. ouch. Not really much contractions going on .... so will need pitosin.

Funny story...

I went to the hospital around 12 to "get checked" because I had been having cramps. They checked me and said I had no movement in dialtion or effacement. Then I come home, eat lunch, and my WATER BREAKS! haha

So Rick is showering now and we are heading to the hospital as soon as my mom gets here.

Will post more once we are settled in at the hospital.

False alarm

Either early labor started and stopped or it was false labor. All symptoms have pretty much stopped at this point. SIGH!

I am not going to plan on posting anything else today unless something changes. And will most likely be at work Monday...unless something changes.

Heading to the mall

We are bored at home. Very few contractions, little menstrual cramping.

Going to do some walking at the mall and entertain Tai.

Nothing new to report

More contractions and menstrual cramps. Just hanging out at home!

I promise to update my blog before I leave for the hospital. :)

Still at home....

About 3 am lost the rest of my mucus plug. Contractions have slowed but the menstrual cramping has increased a little. Going to get up and going this morning, get some walking in.

At home....

Contractions are still about 5 minutes apart. They are getting a little stronger but it is looking like a slow process at this point.

Back hurts, contractions, cant think to save my life!

38 Week Appointment Update

I saw a guy doctor today since my doctor is out of the office. He says I am at 4 cm and still 75% effaced. Looks like I am dilating 1 cm per week, at this rate I will have Scarlett in another 6 weeks! HAHA

If I don't go into labor before....I am scheduled to be induced on Wednesday, January 19th at 5 am.

Nothing to update....

Yesterday my mom and I walked around the Parks mall and cleaned up my house a bit. Then instead of getting a baby from all my efforts all I got was a sore back! I did, however, feel some stronger braxton hick contractions last night, but after adjusting in bed to a better position those went away too. I think this little girl has gained a pound in the last few days because she sure feels bigger and bigger every hour, my dreams of a 6 lb baby are definitely out the window.

It's scary to think there are still 2 more weeks until my actual due date!

11:50 pm - The start of labor???

Started having flu-like symptoms, menstrual like cramps, and weak contractions around 10 pm. Going to try and ignore it all and get some rest.

37 week apt

Just got back from a sono and doctor appointment. Scarlett looks great on screen, good heartbeat, measuring at 19.3 inches, 6 lbs and 15 oz. When did I sign up for a 7 lb something baby??

The doctor also checked my progress and I am now at 3 cm. So all these braxton hick contractions are doing something, just doing it slowly!

Next appointment= Wednesday, January 12 at 1:20 pm

More braxton hicks

Last night I timed 5-6 braxton hicks contractions each about 7 minutes apart. Just as I started to get excited, they completely stopped. I know that isn't much to report....but it's all I have for now. :)
